COUNTRY BEE HONEY FARM
Beecause Pure is Simply Better
In 2015 Jason and Lindsay took a hard look at their big city life and it was abundantly clear they weren’t living the life they wanted. So they changed it. They moved their family to the amazing Saanich Peninsula, where Lindsay grew up. A town where you aren’t anonymous, you run into your high school teacher at the grocery store, you see your neighbor at the bank, and where someone always knows your name.
Country Bee Honey Farm is a combination of both their passions, Jason’s birds and Lindsay’s bees. See it all when you visit them in store.
Farm to Table Goodness
Whether it’s honey or farm-raised poultry and pork, you know it’s local and raised right! We raise bees, pork, and beef right here on our farm. Our bees are managed without the use of antibiotics or pesticides, they’re as organic as a beehive can get. We proudly raise our beef with another local farming family, the Sluggetts, raised right here in the center of the peninsula. As is our pork, raised on whiskey mash, local farm produce, and grains. We’re happy to say that we have happy livestock.
We have some amazing honey in store, try our Whiskey Infused, Hot Pepper, Lavender or Smoked Honey. We also have local Fireweed honey from Campbell River, which tastes like no other! Our Buckwheat honey, with a strong rich flavor, will leave an impression. Thirsty? Grab a tasty Elixir beverage from the fridge. Check everything out here.
In 2009 Lindsay and Jason Dault started their Vancouver based business Urban Bee Supplies. It started in a 9’ x 12’ suite at the back of their house and quickly expanded to a warehouse in Ladner B.C. Once the business was thriving they decided to take a giant leap of faith and do what they have always wanted to do, purchase a farm and leave the corporate life behind. They sold their home in Tsawwassen and purchased an 11 acre farm in the town that Lindsay grew up in.
If you’ve driven by the property you’ll notice that there is a lot going on, and a lot more to come. With beautiful walking gardens, animal pens for the kids and picnic tables for you to sit and enjoy a coffee and honey treat at. We want to create a beautiful space that gets people back to nature, sometimes we get so wrapped up in life that we forget to stop and smell the flowers… which you can do here!
Bee in the know!
Come in and try all the fabulous honeys we have. The honey bar is FULL of amazing choices. We have Peninsula neighborhood honey, each yard tastes completely different. You can taste your way around the Saanich Peninsula, in a jar of honey. We also have amazing infused honey, great paired with food.
